Itinerary

Arrive Leh, situated in the Indus valley covered with stark awe inspiring mountains and the cold desert beyond. Transfer to hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize, overnight at the hotel.

Today  you will proceed for a full day you will visit of  the Shey palace, Thiksey & Hemis Monastery. & Stok Palace Museum. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

This morning you will drive to Nubra Valley  enroute crossing the Khardungla Pass, the worlds highest motorable road (18,000 feet). Arrive and proceed to your camp. This afternoon you will visit the Deskit Monastery and walk around Sand Dune. Overnight at the tented camp.

Following a breakfast you will drive back to Leh. Rest of the day at leisure for shopping and individual activities, overnight stay at the hotel.

Today you will be driven to Uleytopko enroute visit Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill and Alchi monastery. Arrive and proceed to your camp. Rest of the day is at leisure to go on small treks around the Uleytopko, overnight stay at the camp.

Today you will be transferred back to Leh by road enroute visit Liker monastery. Rest of the day at leisure for shopping & own activities, overnight stay at the hotel.

Transfer to airport.

About the Place:
Leh is located in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. It is known for its scenic locations, Buddhist temples and fresh & clean environment. Leh is also known as Little Tibet or the Land of Lamas due to influence of Tibetan Buddhism. Barren mountains with brightly painted gompas (or monasteries), fluttering prayer flags, rocky ridges, tiny settlements and the Indus River add to the overall charm of the region.

Best time to visit Leh is during June to September.

How to Reach:
Leh is predominantly accessible by air, rail and road.

By Air: Leh has its own airport, which is served by direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Srinagar. Flights via Delhi and Srinagar can be availed from any pat of the country to reach Leh. Owing to its importance as a tourist destination, frequency of flights to Leh from various Indian cities have also increased. From the airport, local cabs can be hired to reach anywhere in Leh.

By Rail: Pathankot, Chandigarh and Kalka are the closest railway stations to Leh. Important trains from various Indian cities serve these stations. One can board a train till either of these stations and then hire a cab to reach till Leh.

By Road: Manali-Leh road has been serving as the second best road to Ladakh. Himachal Pradesh Tourism, HRTC and J&K SRTC operate daily deluxe and ordinary buses between Manali and Leh. Government buses, both deluxe and ordinary, run from Kargil and between Leh and Srinagar on regular and frequent intervals. Cars and jeeps are also available for Leh-Srinagar and Leh-Manali route.
